UCPN (Maoist) has nominated Top Bahadur Rayamajhi as the leader of the party in the Cabinet, according to Standing Committee member Agni Sapkota.Rayamajhi will assume the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister. According to sources, Shakit Basnet or Agni Sapkota will take up the Ministry of Home Affairs.“A formal decision will be taken by this evening regarding allocation of various ministries to party leaders,” Sapkota told the Post.Prior to this, Krishna Bahadur Mahara was expected to lead the party in the government but former People’s Liberation Army commanders Dhana Bahadur Maski and Kali Bahadur Kham, among others, objected to the decision.
