Nepal-China sign 8-point deal

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa who is on an official visit to China, signed the agreement after dialogues between the two sides at China's Foreign Ministry in Beijing, according to the secretariat of DPM Thapa. Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Thapa, urged the Chinese side to further enhance bilateral cooperation by developing and upgrading border trade routes and concluding a transit treaty. A joint press statement issued after the agreement states that the deal contains a provision on a long term fuel trade with China. According to Thapa's secretariat, the agreement also has provision of making dry ports and managing border points for promoting bilateral trade. The two sides also agreed to make high level official visits from both sides.
