Dubai Police broke a Guinness World Record in December, for collecting the largest number of signatures that expressed loyalty to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.Emiratis and expats stepped up to pledge their allegiance with 13,288 signatures gathered by Dubai Police, breaking the world record that was previously held by China with 12,884 signatures.The signatures were collected across four different pieces of cloth, representing the four colours of the UAE flag.These pieces of cloth were in turn stitched together to create a 10-metre long and 5.6-metre wide flag.At the beginning of 2015, the Guinness World Record winning LED illumination on the Burj Khalifa façade saw the UAE national flag colours, along with flags of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait wow residents and visitors.The dazzling effects, that showcased fascinating Arabic motifs and ‘mashrabiya’ patterns, was first unveiled during the New Year’s Eve Gala.Winning the Guinness record for ‘World’s Largest LED-Illuminated Façade’, one can only expect Emaar Properties to match that dazzling display this year. - See more at: http://www.tajavdo.com/videos/which-10-guinness-world-records-did-uae-set-in-2015/#sthash.fsPdGc8s.dpuf
