Dhading police caught drivers and conductors of seven tankers of Nepal Oil Corporation red-handed while selling fuel illegally at twice the price at Prithvi Highway on Tuesday.The tankers were carrying petrol to Thankot depot of NOC.The drivers had broken the seal of tanker and were selling diesel at Thakre-3, Aathkilo, Fedi in the area when police nabbed them. The tankers had entered Nepal through Biratnagar entry point after filling the petroleum products from Jogbani in India.
Area Police Office Khani Khola Inspector Yadav Thapa informed that the driver, conductor and Moj Masti Hotel proprietor were caught red handed selling diesel ar Rs 150 to hotel owners.District Police Office Inspector Hari Prasad Poudel informed that the police have taken into custody seven tankers containing 140,000 litres of diesel along with their drivers and conductors, hotel owners and staffs who were buying diesel.
The police have arrested Bishnu Prasad Acharya, Ajay Urau, Mahesh Urau of Sunsari, Manoj Rajbanshi, Ram Bahadur Magar, Sumesh Bhujel, nepnarayan Majhi of Morang, Sanjay Yadav, Yam Kumar Bhujel, Arun Bhujel of Saptari, Bishal Lama, Jiwan Thing, Bikram Acharya, Bishnu Subedi of Thakre, Dhading and Gurudev Singh of Punjab, India
