The culprits behind a McDonald’s toilet seat ‘prank’ have apologised after a four-year-old girl was left with painful injuries.Two girls smeared superglue on the seat of a toilet of a McDonald’s branch in Exeter on New Year’s Eve, police said.Devon and Cornwall Police interviewed the two girls responsible for leaving Nicole Langmead’s daughter Kaya with “red raw” skin after she sat down on the seat.The force was treating the incident as an assault but is no longer pursuing any further action against the girls.“The two girls immediately accepted what they had done, were sorry and have apologised to the victim’s mother for the upset caused to her and her daughter. We have subsequently taken appropriate action against the offenders,” said a spokesperson for the force.“Police have been in constant contact with the victim’s mother throughout the investigation and she is now happy with how this has been dealt with and the outcome. “This matter is now closed and given the age of the people involved in the case we will not provide any further comment relating to this matter.”
