Police said total eight paragliding pilot were rescued. Seven of them had fallen into the Phewa Lake while another was stuck on a tree in Armala while landing. Kaski District Police Office chief SP Ghanashyam Aryal said security personnel and locals jointly rescued the pilots.
The paragliders gather at Sarangkot to practice paragliding prior to the Paragliding Pre-World Cup, an eight-day event, organised by Nepal Air Sports Association (NAA) and supported by Nepal Tourism Board, on Saturday, February 27, 2016.
