Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa who had gone UK to celebrate the Bicentenary of Nepal-UK relations on December 15 has returned to country after completing his five-day UK trip on Sunday. Kamal Thapa held a series of telephonic conversations with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj from London, where he had gone on an official visit amid a blockade of major Indo-Nepal trade points by Indian-origin Madhesi protesters. During his stay, DPM Thapa requst to resolve the issue of Nepal Army Colonel Kumar Lama with the UK government at earliest. Lama is standing trial in a UK court on two counts of human rights violations in Nepal.
