Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal leader Ashok Kumar Rai has demanded the government immediately release his party’s Central Committee member Ang Kaji Sherpa.Sherpa was arrested from Bouddha in the Capital on Wednesday for making provocative statements in social media sites.Speaking at a meeting of Legislature-Parliament on Thursday, lawmaker Rai said the government has been repressing the people who have taken to the streets demanding the implementation of past agreements in order to promulgate a progressive constitution. two years and two weeks after our interview, Ang Kaji Sherpa was killed with fifteen others in an Avalanche in the Khumbu ice fall. This was the deadliest day ever on Mt. Everest. Ang Kaji left behind three small children and the Nepal government offered a mere $400 per family.
